ActionAid Ireland

High Value Cash Appeal
to Regular Givers

"The vast majority of ActionAid Ireland's supporters have been recruited through a Child Sponsorship product, so when asking them for a cash donation, it was essential to make a watertight case for their support. The one-off cash appeal was centred on an urgent proposition, powerfully articulated.

Child Sponsors learned about the Kamaiya people of Nepal; bonded labourers made homeless after being exploited by unscrupulous landlords. Kamaiya means 'hardworking' and that's exactly what this pack was. It included a blueprint of the real houses that donations were going to build and introduced them to the real people whose lives would be transformed if our target was met.

The appeal hit target, proving the importance of not confining your supporters to boxes. A Child Sponsor is always more than a Child Sponsor."
