Welcome Pack

"No charity can afford to take its supporters for granted. You have to thank them, show them what they're helping you to achieve and make them feel a part of something. And Welcome Packs play a key role because getting it right can be the difference between a donor being just a one off giver or becoming a supporter for life.

This pack needs to communicate with people who might have come on board through a variety of means. So it needed to introduce them to the whole range of CIWF's work. The pack was colourful, vibrant and bold - it had to tell people that they'd made the right decision by supporting CIWF's work, and encourage them to look forward to future communications.

I'm amazed and disappointed at how many organisations complain about high supporter attrition rates, yet make little or no effort to look after them. Compare this with car advertising, the majority of which is designed to reassure buyers that they've made the right choice. What good charity communications do is acknowledge what a big decision it might have been for the donor to support your work and constantly demonstrate that they made the right decision."
