Inspiring your most
important supporters

Royal Botanic Gardens Kew - Millennium Seedbank

Major Donor Direct Mail

"We were asking people for really large sums of money - in some cases thousands of pounds - to support Kew's work preserving and documenting the world's rare plant species.

So at the planning stages of this work we imagined what materials we might need if we were going to the bank manager to ask for a loan - we realised we had to make a business case for their support. And that meant details, details and more details. But at the same time we also wanted to be inspirational to get the donors excited about the project and what it could achieve.

Getting the balance right was tough, but thankfully the big donations came in and the work easily beat its target."
